Real-Time Search With Leapfish?
A new real-time composite search engine leapfish combines current news, events and real time events like Twitter updates into one search interface.
Zorkler being the vain creature he is automatically searched Leapfish for “zorkler”, and he was tickled that most of the results were about him. After peeling him off the wall Zorkler just started punching on the keys on the keyboard, probably searching for something in Zorklers native language (%^$#@*) so we had to pull him away and let the grown ups get back to work.
Clicking on the ‘search the web’ button returned more search results than clicking on the ‘real-time’ button results so we tried a few other searches for ‘coupons, printable coupons and free samples’ before noticing a toggle allowing you to view results from either Google, Yahoo or Bing even after initiating your search.
Leapfish works well, returns the requested search results fast and provides a wider variety of results. It was nice to see that each of the Leapfish links were valid, that is they appeared to be useful website results and not spam website results. You can also customize your page but we didn’t spend much time trying out this feature.
