We’ve talked about coupon stacking before but because of the explosion in Catalinas and coupon deals that can net in free or nearly free products we have decided to add a new ‘Catalina Deals’ section here at Zorkler.
A Catalina is a bonus coupon that you receive at checkout for purchase of select items at your grocer. They usually range from $1.00 – $4.00 off a future grocery order.
A caution, not all grocery stores have Catalina’s but if you sign up by clicking here and the Your Bucks by Catalina website will tell you exactly what deals you can get each cycle and at what store near you has them. Then, come back to the new Catalina Deals section on Zorkler for tips on how to stack your Catalina deals with manufacturer and store coupons to maximize them into free or nearly free groceries!..
Now a few tips: Catalina deals often sell out fast! Don’t buy what you can’t use. Buy what you can use, deeply; and play nice; don’t abuse the system or grocers may end up pulling it.
When checking out, nicely let the clerk know that you want to check out each ‘Catalina deal’ separately to insure you receive your Catalinas.
Remember to swipe or enter your frequent shopper card with each transaction (if applicable), present your manufacturer coupons first, then present store coupons last. Doing it in another order often triggers the system to beep or lock up confusing the clerk.
